Yoga
Yoga designed to align with your needs.
Yoga enhances awareness about our body and how we move and feel in the world. It strengthens, improves balance and flexibility and settles the nervous system enabling the management of stress, pain, sleep disturbances, anxiety and mood discomforts.
In yoga philosophy this is described in Yoga Sutra 1.2, as "citta vrtti nirodhah”; to bring a stillness, a natural quietening to the body and mind. It is through this inner stillness that we see more clearly, develop the greater sense of Well-Being that we are searching for.
Gentle Yoga
This practice offers movement and the rejuvenating benefits of yoga at a comfortable pace.
Using poses to connect the body and breath we explore and support the range of possibility within our body. We flow in gentle poses and rest to connect within; all the while the breath offering a sense of well-being while building strength, balance and flexibility.
In conjunction with movement practice, classes incorporate pranayama (breath work) and relaxation, enabling a calming of the body and a settling of the mind.
Empowered Aging
Yoga with a focus to build flexibility, strength and balance supporting an active life. Classes include gentle movement (asana), breath practices (pranayama), and deep relaxation (savasana and yoga nidra). Each is tailored and adapted to meet the needs and interests of the participants making them suitable for all ages, with no yoga experience being necessary.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga provides a space for the body to let go of deep holding patterns that cause muscle and joint pain as well as physical and mental tension. Postures are the forms of more active poses such as back bends, forward bends, twists and inversion; held with the support of blankets, blocks and bolsters. This enables both the body and mind to come into a a state of deep relaxation and centeredness.
Valuable for everyone, this practice is particularly beneficial for those recovering from injury, illness, surgery, headaches, insomnia, respiratory and digestive disorders, menopause, and emotional issues such as anxiety and depression. No prior knowledge or experience is required.
Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is a gentle practice that aims to balance the energies within the mind and body. The word “Hatha” outlines this balance with “Ha” representing the sun and “tha” the moon.
The class is a blend of yoga poses and breathing techniques to support the balance we are searching for.
Beginning with a centering practice of stillness or breath work it continues to slow movement through standing poses for strength and balance, leading into seated practice to support flexibility throughout the body.
Classes require no previous experience, only a curiosity to explore new ways to move and feel into your body.
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is also known as Savasana or ‘Yogic Sleep’.
Resting in a state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep, you relax, rejuvenate, repair and restore. It is a guided meditative practice that offers stillness and quiet, something rare and precious.
It can relieve physical, emotional and mental fatigue and stress, and cure insomnia. It supports and builds resilience, enabling us to bounce back from life stressors and nurtures our emotional buoyancy.
Suitable for everyone it requires no prior knowledge or experience.

“It is hard to put in words how relaxing and peaceful I feel during and after Yoga Nidra classes with Clare. There are new concepts in most classes and beautiful segments of poetry. Unique variations on body scans that enable a deeper relaxation without any effort. The feeling of being more peaceful also goes beyond the class. Thank you Clare”
